Family Practice Nurse Practitioner, Roslyn Burks, APRN, earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi. She is a Registered Nurse with the Arkansas Board of Nursing and is a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse.
Her interest in healthcare began at back in 1981 when she was in 11th grade at Pine Bluff High School and became involved with the Health Occupation Education program. This experience helped her decide to make a career of nursing. Her first clinical experience was at the old Davis Hospital, where she recalls wearing the white uniform, including the nurses cap, white stockings and shoes, the standard required uniform for all nursing staff. She was in the first class of clinical nurse externs at Jefferson Regional.
Ms. Burks is a member of the provider team at Jefferson Regional Nephrology Associates and the Jefferson Regional Medical Staff. She has 24 years of experience in nephrology.
When she isn’t providing patient care, Ms. Burks’ favorite pastime is reading a good book. She greatly enjoys spending time with her husband, Danny Adams Jr., her nieces, her church family, and her prize winning Giant Schnauzers.
